Peking Duk have recruited JOY for a great rendition of 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' by Kylie Minogue.

Triple J may have just released the latest volume of the Like A Version series, but PEKING DUK have just recorded a cover that will most definitely be the highlight of next year's Volume 11.

Enlisting the help of Brisbane songstress JOY, PEKING DUK  decided that one of KYLIE MINOGUE's classic tracks needed a but of an update and so, added in a few synths and strings to create an explosive cover of 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'.

The original track is of course an 00's classic. Back when KYLIE was the pinnacle of Australian pop, 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' was THE track to listen too and was filtered through radios everywhere daily. Recently KYLIE has been remixed by FRAMES and lended her vocals to FLIGHT FACILITIES for their reprise of 'Crave You'. it seems she's slowly making her way onto the electronic scene in Aus and now that PEKING DUK have covered her, she's well on her way in.

JOY croons the famous vocals in her own sultry voice giving 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' a whole new flavour. Alongside JOY, PEKING DUK produce some high quality synth work with their vibrant sounds bursting out of the piece whilst an elegant string quartet keeps everything stable and structured, giving the song a very solid backbone.

This cover is definitely one you'll be happy to hear over and over as the balance between all three elements is pretty much perfect. the strings compliment the synths and both compliment JOY so really, everything works here and KYLIE will definitely be proud.
