Escape for a few minutes into the chaotic, liberating new video from Hermitude and Haiku Hands for their song, 'Let It Burn (World's Gone Mad)'

With so much happening in the world right now, you'd be forgiven for thinking the world has gone a bit bonkers as of late. It's a confusing and scary time, and for many it might be the most difficult period of their lives. The chaos can feel suffocating, and it can be hard not to get bogged down in the constant updates and changes. Thankfully, when things feel a bit too intense, we have music and art, and especially art that helps us let go and make sense of all the madness. Enter HERMITUDE, who also agree, and are here to make things just a little bit better with a brand new video which we couldn't be more thrilled to be premiering on Purple Sneakers today.

Aptly titled 'Let It Burn (World's Gone Mad)', the song was written in 2018 and released last year on Hermitude's sixth studio album Pollyanarchy. A total banger, the song sees the iconic production duo have teamed up with the perfect collaborators for this song, Haiku Hands, to take their anthem to new heights. Featuring Hermitude's signature percussive-led production, Haiku Hands lean into the chaotic energy with their chanting vocals. Fast forward to today, and the song eerily takes on a whole new meaning, so it's only fitting that the clip would have a similar energy. The group teamed up with Director Sean Whirl to let loose on the streets of New York City, and in doing so shed a whole new light on the song that unknowingly now serves as an them for these very strange days we're now in.

Hermitude said of the single and video, "We knew there was a growing sense of chaos in the world when we were working on this song, and who better to portray that than Haiku Hands! But none of us could have known how intense it was going to get. Sean's visuals help capture that energy and really complement the girls' style as they run a muck through NYC."

Chaotic and so very hyped, the video sees Haiku Hands run amok in New York City with a cameo from Hermitude, inspiring those watching to not just accept that the world may have indeed gone mad so what else can you do but try to make it work (and maybe have a bit of fun in the process). It's exactly the kind of light-hearted fun so many of us need right now, and serves as a three-minute reprieve to breathe deep, let go and move. Escape into their world and check the clip out below:
