BARKAA - King Brown

Proud Malyangapa, Barkindji woman BARKAA, releases the first taste of her forthcoming debut EP ‘Blak Matriarchy’. ‘King Brown’ is a powerful track, all about acknowledging, understanding and utilising self worth. The track is a cheeky and comical reflection and big bird flip to a previous relationship, featuring a rampant trap beat, glitzy melodic lines and slamming percussion.

Koori Mob - Our Country, Our Life

Desert Pea Media today presents a new collaboration with the community of Coomealla/Dareton NSW. It’s a collaborative project between esert Pea Media, Coomealla Health Aboriginal Corporation (a local Indigenous-led Health Service) and an incredibly talented group of students at Coomealla High School, who represent Barkindji and Maraura Tribal Groups to facilitate an important, inter-generational conversation about social and emotional well-being for Original Nations young people. Focusing on cultural identity, wellbeing and connection to the country.

Phil Fresh - Never Know

Warrang based Phil Fresh has today released his new single, ‘Never Know’ alongside his newly announced E.P. ‘L.A.T.E’, due to be released on August 27. Following on from a run of glitzy, upbeat and glowing singles, ‘Never Know’ is a more raw take on the experience of love. On the track, Fresh details; 'Never Know is about not being ready to give up or not being ready to come to terms with a relationship ending. It’s details dealing with a break up from a logical standpoint and an emotional standpoint.'

Little Simz - I Love You, I Hate You

Heavyweight UK Rapper Little Simz has today delivered the best and most intimate track from her forthcoming record, ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’. The track is as haunting as it is beautiful and sees the artist lay herself bare on a record like never before. Boiling guitar riffs, massive string sections and a chopped vocal lay the platform for Simz to do her work across all feelings of sorrow, anger and importantly resolutions

True Vibenation - Solar Feat. JamarzOnMarz

True Vibenation & JamarzOnMarz have teamed up to deliver the glistening new single ‘Solar’. It’s a holiday ready track, keeping summertime vibes and optimism at an all time high. Their signature brass section combines with hypnotic percussion embracing afro-brazilian rhythms. It’s all topped off by charismatic and engaging bars from JamarzOnJamarz. 

Tkay Maidza - Onto Me (with UMI)

ARIA & BET nominated rapper and artist Tkay Maidza today unleashes the third and final release in her Last Year Was Weird EP series. The EP features 8 incredible tracks, highlighting Tkay’s strength in diversity as an act and fully realising her artistic versatility. The tracklists early standout is ‘Onto Me’ a silky collaboration with UMI. 

ASHWARYA - Love Again

Upcoming superstar ASHWARYA has today also released her highly anticipated debut EP, ‘NOCTURNAL HOURS’. It features her new single and live performance video for track, ‘LOVE AGAIN’. ASHWARYA explains the premise behind ‘LOVE AGAIN’, “Deciding to walk away from someone you love is never easy, and I hope everyone can connect to this song like I do.”

Vince Staples - ARE YOU WITH THAT?

Vince Staples has today released his long awaited self titled record. It’s focus single, ‘Are You With That’ is produced by Kenny Beats alongside Reske. Explaining the album’s title and sentiment in June, Staples said: “It really gives much more information about me that wasn’t out there before. That’s why I went with that title. I feel like I’ve been trying to tell the same story. As you go on in life, your point of view changes. This is another take on myself that I might not have had before.”

Rejjie Snow & Cam O’bi - Shooting Star

Rejjie Snow's third studio album Baw Baw Black Sheep is today, created alongside executive producer Cam O’bi. The album's finale, ‘Shooting Stars’ features frenetic beat darts across the sky as his vocals soar amidst spacey zips and bleeps. “Everyone is a star in their own way,” he states. “I’m touching on this idea and trying to inspire on the last track.”

Body Corp - Without Beginning or End

Body Corp is now showcasing his ambient abilities via a new single, ‘Without Beginning or End’, out today via Bedroom Suck Records. The single is taken off forthcoming solo record, ‘Monument’ out on the 20th of August. It’s been described as a moody, almost intergalactic journey. It’s in collaboration with actor Sam Smith and visual artist Max Berry. ‘Monument’ was created to accompany Max Berry’s exhibition of the same name which showcased at the Broken Hill Regional Gallery in mid-2020.
