daine - weekends
daine has finally released her debut mixtape, Quantum Jumping, following 18 months of building hype and anticipation by her audience and the Purple Sneakers team. On the project, daine showcases why she is the shining voice in a scene of creatives with post-modern takes on contemporary pop music. No longer is she a rapidly ascending voice in the world of electronic pop scenes, she is the voice that demands attention and focus.

1300 have solidified themselves as the most hyped group in Australian rap music, releasing their high octane, highly hyped debut mixtape Foreign Language. The tape is a dose of high energy rap music that transcends all barriers, both in language and in genre. Its backbone is the group’s hard hitting vocals, balanced perfectly with musicality, beautiful production and introspection. 

BLESSED - LOVE YOURSELF
Ghanian-Australian hip hop and indie icon BLESSED has today released his new single and video, LOVE YOURSELF, alongside the announcement of his highly anticipated, forthcoming debut album AUSSIE BLACKSTAR. The album is crafted with the intent of representing his personal experience in so called Australia, beyond the white lens utilised in traditional Australian art and media. 

PANIA - LETHIM4ALL featuring Unamii
Naarm/Melbourne based alt-R&B artist PANIA has today released her new single LETHIM4ALL alongside Meanjin/Brisbane based Unamii. The track marks the unification between two powerhouse artists showcasing a new and exciting face of Australian music. The track showcases a sound that is truely hers, one that perfectly balances her unapologetic flow with introspection and vulnerability. 

Sampa The Great - Lane featuring Denzel Curry
Following her debut performances at Coachella, Zambian born, Botswana raised poet, rapper and artist Sampa The Great has begun her new era of music, releasing new single Lane featuring Miami rap-mogul Denzel Curry. It's led by jilted organs, gorgeous harmonies and a vocoded voice, before a trap beat and rolling bass melody set the backbone for Sampa to rap in defiance.

Nick Ward - BRAND NEW YOU featuring Zion Garcia
Nick Ward has today shared his brand new EP, BRAND NEW YOU. The project acts as a sonic expansion from his debut EP, which continues to build his reputation as one of Australia’s best emerging songwriters. 

Miiesha - Everything
Ahead of the release of her forthcoming Mirrors EP which is set for release on the 3rd of June, as a double EP alongside the already released Smoke EP, Miiesha has released her new single Everything. The track is a showcase in perseverance, as described by Miiesha, “So the song is me, reminding myself, that we could have everything. I know it’s hard right now but keep going.”

FELIVAND - Butterfly Wings (Franc Moody Remix)
Whilst recontextualised in a new soundscape, the Franc Moody remix of FELIVAND's Butterfly Wings sees the singer-songwriter-producer delve into a lyrical exploration of the duality between sensitivity and attitude. With a focus on DIY-sound design, London collective Franc Moody draw upon their world of disco, funk, and soul - tinged with electronica - to reframe Butterfly Wings in a colourful, bouncy rework.
