Each week, we receive countless submissions of exciting new music, so we’ll be taking you through a weekly wrap up of all our favourite new tunes every Friday called #TrustedForTaste. Follow our Spotify playlist to never miss our updates!

Two of the country's best on one of the best tracks of the year (and it's only April)? YES PLEASE! Tasman Keith and Kwame deliver career-defining performances on one of the year's defining singles and call out the music industry on 'ONE', and we cannot get enough. We've already done a deep dive on this one, but it's so good we couldn't not include it in our Best Songs of The Week, because that's exactly what it is.

Hot on the heels of her trio of electric, genre-defying singles 'PSYCHO HOLE', 'BIRYANI' and 'COMIN@ME', superstar-in-waiting ASHWARYA is straight back to business in 2021. She's tapped none other than VIC MENSA for her brand new tune, 'TO THE NIGHT', and picks right back up where she left off with innovative, dynamic and futuristic electro-pop. Filled with twists and turns, her voice sounds divine against the hard hitting production courtesy of long-time collaborator Jarrad Rogers and LUCIANBLOMKAMP, and is all the proof you need as to why she is being hailed as the future of pop music. When she sings, "Baby it's time I come alive," take it seriously: there's simply no stopping ASHWARYA.

Honey Dijon - Downtown (Ft. Annette Bowen & Nikki-O)

Chicago-raised, New York-infused living icon Honey Dijon needs no introduction. She's been busy getting ready to release her second album, Black Girl Magic, and the two tastes we've had from this record so far have confirmed what we already suspected: that we're in for something seriously special here. Now she's back for round three with the release of 'Downtown', featuring Annette Brown and Nikki-O, further cementing this confirmation. A total dedication to the liberation and emancipation we can find on the dancefloor, it's all three artists at their very best. Turn this one all the way up!

Comfy Bella - Tell Meh

The second part of the latest offering from CC:DISCO!'s forthcoming First Light compilation, Comfy Bella takes an ambient approach to house and Balearic sounds on 'Tell Meh'. It's a softer moment in the tracks we've already heard, and with its slinky bass line and sax, it's a seductive and intoxicating number that slowly unfurls to reveal more and more. Having already cut her teeth as a vocalist touring with the likes of Nightmares On Wax, Chris Martin, MJCole and Flood, Comfy Bella cements herself as one to watch with 'Tell Meh'!

Horse Meat Disco - Love If You Need it (Ft. Fi McCluskey)

Following the release of their critically acclaimed debut album, ‘Love And Dancing’, Horse Meat Disco is back for more with a stomping slice of disco absolutely begging for a packed dancefloor. Full of swagger and sass, they have teamed up with London's Fi McCluskey for added vocals, and effortlessly capture the essence of a thriving dancefloor and all the good energy that comes with it. Unleashed alongside some special remixes courtesy of Mousse T. and Dr Packer, this one is nu-disco euphoria at its finest.

Pépe - In Due Time

Spanish producer/DJ Pépe is one of the many artists recruited by the inimitable CC:DISCO!, for her forthcoming second First Light compilation. It should come as no surprise that the curation on this release is second to none, and each and every track we've heard from this record further solidifies CC:DISCO!'s presence as a force to be reckoned with not just when she's at home on the decks, but in the captain's chair of a compilation. Pépe's offering, 'In Due Time', is a house track steeped in 90s nostalgia and is a total dream to listen to. Creating utter bliss in just seven minutes is no easy task, but he pulls it off in style with this gentle but captivating kaleidoscopic ride.

We've had Meanjin/Brisbane artist Yb. on our radar for a while now, but there's something about his new single 'DANCE WITH ME TODAY' that has us extremely excited. In fine form, Yb. showcases even more versatility as an artist, building on the impressive previous single 'Waiting' to further carve out his own place in the evolving hip hop/RnB space. Speaking of the single, Yb. said it's all "all about that introspective voice in charge of letting things go. For me, that action was one of the hardest things to grasp, but this song is a true encapsulation of the moment that I was able to find a release from some of the difficulties and anxieties I’ve felt." For fans of Channel Tres, Cosmo's Midnight or Stevan, it's feel-good, carefree, so much fun to listen to and a total winner from Yb.!

Kids At Midnight - It's Too Late To Say You've Got A Crush

Robyn and Charli XCX fans assemble: Kids At Midnight is back with more retro-pop goodness in her latest single. Titled 'It's Too Late To Say You've Got A Crush', this track captures the intoxicating love we've all felt in our younger years, and the rush and reality of having a crush. Complete with a hook that you'll have in your head for a long time after the long has finished, it's funky, groovy and so much fun.

Ryan Fennis & Voidhood - Tapped

The fourth release from the newly minted Pointer RecordingsRyan Fennis and Voidhood have linked up for a menacing, distorted collaboration in 'Tapped'. Inspired by "their everyday lives and the drive to create something unique and true to self," Ryan and Voidhood push their respective sounds into new territory, creating an experimental, industrial and provocative release. It's not like anything you've heard this week (maybe even longer than that?), and showcases the pair really striving to make something which stands out from the rest. This is the first taste from the duo's collaborative project, and we are eager to hear more!

Borderland State - Rushing

Sunshine Coast based producer, Borderland State returns with a dancefloor-ready moment in 'Rushing'. Out now via October Records and Anjunabeats, 'Rushing' is a whirl of ethereal soundscapes and blooming synth patterns, which collide with an emotive topline which takes the track to new heights. One of the first tracks Borderland State wrote as we went into lockdown last year, it's name is no coincidence: the track is a powerful and exhilarating rush of yearning emotions and electronica, and is impressive from start to finish. More please!
