Live Review: PREMIERE: Beks shares new power anthem 'Devoted'

Prolific Australian music scene collaborator and rising pop crossover star Beks is gearing up to release her next single, 'Devoted' on the 11th of August. The anti-love, club ready dance floor anthem is premiering today via Purple Sneakers. The track is released off the back of her latest single, 'The Thing About Us' as well as a range of songwriting practice and experience with some of Australia's most talented writers, including Kim Moyes (The Presets), Ninajirachi, Taka Perry and many more. With a stash of singles now in the bag, Beks is a unique pop talent growing her devoted fan base with every release.

'Devoted' continues this narrative perfectly. Produced by Aaron Lee, disco undertones reminiscent of early Daft Punk combines perfectly with her powerfully delivered vocal. A four to the floor percussion section drives the tracks melodic sections to new levels, establishing the tracks dance context intentions.

“It’s about power recall; reclaiming the power you've placed on someone who's exploited that power and giving it back to yourself. It's about idolising your own individuality and uniqueness." explains Beks.
