Octo Octa is set to shared a new EP via her own label she runs with Eris Drew, T4T LUV NRG, out next month.
Octo Octa has announced a new EP titled She's Calling, set for release next month on her label she runs with Eris Drew, T4T LUV NRG. In a message to listeners on Soundcloud, She's Calling has been described as "the third piece in Octo Octa’s two-year exploration of the connection between music and ritual, closing the loop on themes explored on her “For Lovers” ep (Technicolour, 2019) and full-length album “Resonant Body” (T4T LUV NRG, 2019)."
She's Calling is set to be comprised of two songs and an "evocation" by Octo Octa, and will continue to explore the connection she and many others find in dance music. As per the EP's description, T4T LUV NRG said, "The connections we feel on a dancefloor are transformative, but in time spent alone, dance music remains a powerful tool for connection with nature, with ourselves, and with something ineffable that feels like magic."
Preceding the EP's release is the single 'Find Your Way Home', a propulsive, uplifting, unpredictable and gripping 8-minute journey into innovative house music. Written in early 2020 prior to the cancellation of her tour and consequent return to the United States, Octo Octa made the song as a means of introspection and reflection, "to bring herself peace during an intense time."
Alongside the release of 'Find Your Way Home' and the announcement of She's Calling, T4T LUV NRG also shared a poem as well as detailed description of the songs 'Goddess Calling' and 'Spell for Nature' which will also appear on the EP. You can read the poem below.

There’s a light in the center of the woods
A bright fire seen through the trees
We’re around it gazing into the flames
She’s brought us here
A bell chimes
She’s asking you to come as well
We’ve heard her voice since the beginning
And You’ve been listening your entire life
She’s calling
As with previous T4T LUV NRG releases, 50% of the profits from the release will be donated to the Sylvia Rivera Law Project (SRLP), an organisation which works "to guarantee that all people are free to self-determine their gender identity and expression, regardless of income or race, and without facing harassment, discrimination, or violence."
