Wollongong newcomers Kitten Heel not only have one of the best band names we have heard in recent times, they also make some pretty great music too. For fans of LCD SoundsystemHot Chip or Total Giovanni, their unique brand of indie dance is one that is catchy, uplifting and so much fun to listen to, and their latest single is even further confirmation of this. Premiering today on Purple Sneakers, 'Needs To Go' is a swirling haze of vintage synths, eclectic percussion and dramatic vocals and we cannot get enough.

Urgent and propulsive, 'Needs To Go' is ready made for dancefloors we can't yet return to, beckoning you to let it all out in the moment. It's nostalgic, harking back to 00's electro with its laser synth lines, but still future-facing in its dynamic songwriting and peculiar production flourishes to keep you hooked for the long haul.

On their new single, Kitten Heel said, "Achieving your goals takes a lot of work, it's not easy but you've gotta just stop fucking around and do it. Then once you attain them appreciate it. Don’t just move forward without recognizing what you did to get there."

Following on from the release of their debut EP, Club Dust, Kitten Heel are set to release another EP later this year titled I Love You Too, Man. If 'Needs To Go' is anything to go by, we are in for something special when that drops!
