Alison Wonderland has released a new single 'Bad Things' that explores the artist's inner demons reminding her to persevere through tough times.

Queen of EDM Alison Wonderland has released a new electrifying single, 'Bad Things', that explores the artist's inner demons. Reminding her to persevere through adversity, it's a deeply personal and at times incredibly cathartic release, and brings forth the very best in electronic music with Alison setting the tone for a larger body of work in the near future.

With a flurry of hypercharged electronic sounds, exhilarating drops, and pulsating synths, Wonderland beautifully blends elements of future bass, trap, and EDM to create a truly hypnotic tune. With the addition of her blissful vocals, 'Bad Things' starts to blend light and dark with broody sounds amongst uplifting lyrics, such as "Don't fall in love with the bad things, remind me why I am still alive, I am still alive." With a beat that could kill, this absolute banger is ready to transport us to wild places on the dancefloor once the world opens up. Festivals and clubs get ready, this new track is locked and loaded to send shockwaves far and wide!

First heard during Alison's online Lollapalooza set earlier this year, 'Bad Things' is a deeply personal tune from the pioneering producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and DJ, who introspectively reflects on her past traumas. Opening up to triple j she said, "I usually write about trauma and the things that I'm going through."

"I think the reason I love this song so much is because it's about rebirth; it's not about entertaining bad things anymore, reminding myself why I'm here, being okay with myself. It was really cathartic for me to write those lyrics."

'Bad Things' also comes with an accompanying music video featuring trippy, trance-like visuals and otherworldly, psychedelic touches. Directed by Peter Don and produced by Satien Mehta, this video is both hypnotic and emotional showing Alison deal with her demons that seem to engulf her world, distorting her perception of reality.

'Bad Things' is the first single to be taken from Wonderland's highly-anticipated forthcoming album, set to arrive in 2021. The new body of work will be her first full studio album since Awake in 2018. The release of this enthralling song has reaffirmed that Alison Wonderland remains one of Australia's leading electronic artists, consistently producing forward-thinking and future-facing beats and sounds. We can't wait to hear more.
