Live Review: SAATSUMA get deep with late night grooves for their guest mix

Melbourne duo SAATSUMA, comprised of MEMPHIS LK and CESAR RODRIGUES, have been a favourite act of ours for a while. Expertly crafting enthralling electronic music that encapsulates a certain emotional quality often devoid in electronica, this enigmatic duo have been hard at work over recent months. This hard work all culminated just last week though, with the release of their long-awaited debut album, Overflow.

Overflow is a record that you can tell has had a lot of work and love put into it. It's expansive and almost alive in the way it carries on, featuring tracks like 'Isolate', 'Stay', and 'Crescent', which only further cement the fact that this is one of the best Australian releases of the year. Quite literally overflowing with their impressive talents, Memphis LK and Cesar Rodrigues have achieved something really special with this album, and we really can't help but feel this is still only the start for what's possible for SAATSUMA.

To celebrate their release, we are so excited to have SAATSUMA on board for a guest mix this week for our radio show on FBi Radio. Put together by Memphis LK, it's full of late night grooves and good vibes that will creep up on you before completely taking over. You can listen to it right now below, or listen live to our show ever Saturday evening, 5-6pm on 94.5 FM DAB, or on demand at Melbourne fans can catch SAATSUMA launch their album later in September, before they head to Sydney for The Plot.
