박혜진 PARK HYE JIN - Like This

Seoul-born, now Los Angeles–based rapper, singer, DJ, and producer 박혜진 Park Hye Jin has had a very exciting week this week with the release of her first music since 2018 and the announcement she's signed to the legendary Ninja Tune label. 'Like This' is the first taste of a forthcoming new EP out next month and sees her pair her own looped vocals with dreamy pads, ethereal samples and a propulsive beat that will make you ascend to a higher plane. If you only listen to one song this week, make it this.

SOPHIEGROPHY is not holding back on this one. Taken from her new EP, aptly titled BOLD, out today, 'Shake' is a hard-hitting banger that proves once and for all she is the real deal. Created alongside acclaimed producer Jia Lih, the whole EP is absolutely stacked with versatile, impressive cuts and 'Shake' is our pick of the bunch with its explosive hook, bouncing bass line and stomping beat. We've sung her praises for a long time, and she once again does not disappoint with this one!

FOXES - Love Not Loving You

Foxes is back with her first single in three years in 'Love Not Loving You', an explosive pop banger we simply could not get enough of even if we tried. At just 19 years old, Foxes was catapulted into the global spotlight thanks to the GRAMMY-winning collab 'Clarity' with Zedd and her critically acclaimed debut album, Glorious. Now she's back, tougher, rawer and more badass than ever with 'Love Not Loving You', an empowered anthem that will make you get up and dance those iso blues away. Foxes said of her new single, “This song is about finally falling in love with myself, about not depending on anyone else from my own happiness and being able to stand on my own two feet. I hope the message in this song can inspire others to do the same." HERE. FOR. IT!

After the release of their single 'Mai Elle', we knew Planet Vegeta were onto something good. Now, with their latest release 'Take Flight', they're doubling down and are now two for two with another stellar single. 'Take Flight' infuses bouncy production courtesy of LKGD, rapid rhymes from Jazz NOBODI and wavy, soulful vocals from SVNO to create a lowkey banger. An ode to their mothers, 'Take Flight' is a heartfelt expression of gratitude as the trio look back at how far they've come, and where they're headed to next. Spoiler alert: It's straight to the top.

GINOLI - I'm In Love

Teaming up with fellow POND member Nicholas Allbrook for this latest release, GINOLI is back for more this week with 'I'm In Love'. It's a cover of Evelyn 'Champagne' King's song of the same title, and taken from Music In Exile's upcoming REMIXED EP. Swelling synths, groovy bass and crisp claps provide the perfect foundation for Allbrook's unique vocals to float above, making for a heavenly, disco-infused experience. The upcoming REMIXED EP sees Music In Exile pair up a producer from our burgeoning homegrown electronic scene with an artist from a refugee and migrant community, and this release doubles as a B-side from the previous Ginoli remix of Gordon Koang's 'Mal Mi Goa'. This one doesn't disappoint!

DALLAS WOODS - If It Glitters Its Gold

East Kimberly-bred, Melbourne-based rapper and songwriter Dallas Woods makes his return today with 'If It Glitters Its Gold' — a rock-infused track that shows he's onto something seriously exciting. Speaking of the track, Woods said, "We live in a world where we’re told ‘bigger is better’ and every day is a reminder of just how much we want to outdo the person next to us. I’ve been guilty of that too. I wanted to be as big, if not bigger, than people who inspire or paved the way for my journey. But that goes against my morals. And in doing that I realised just how much energy it takes to maintain an ego." Hinting that there's plenty more still on its way, Woods hits a homerun with this one!

DAINE - Picking Flowers

Filipino-Australian artist Daine is off to a great start with the release of her debut single, 'Picking Flowers'. For fans of Billie Eilish, she pairs foreboding hip-hop-leaning production with her gentle, indie-inspired vocals for a dark, ominous trudge through her inner monologue. Like if Clairo jumped on a Shlohmo track, 'Picking Flowers' is not for the faint-hearted but has us very eager indeed to hear more where this came from!

Out now alongside his latest album, SHEEESH, MXXWLL taps the incomparable KAIIT for new single 'ROLLITUP'. A short but sweet two-minute dream, 'ROLLITUP' is a synth-heavy nod to G-Funk and shows MXXWLL's production chops off in its warm, effervescent quality. It's staggered, disjointed and quite addictive in its unconventional groove. Kaiit said of the finished product, "I remember MXXWLL sending me the ROLLITUP track, which is vocally made up of cuts of something we vibed to ages back and all I could say after bumping it was... MXXWLL is a wizard." We couldn't agree more.

Adelaide trio EAST AV3 have released a worthy follow up to their earlier single 'Le Labo' with 'RUGRAT$'. The first single and the title track from their upcoming RUGRAT$ EP out next month, this track sees the the group once again tap into a bombastic, incendiary vein of hip-hop, holding absolutely nothing back as they set their track alight with explosive beats and spitfire verses. In a scene that is increasingly saturated with Brockhampton copycats, EAST AV3 continue to set themselves apart with their innovative takes on alternative rap, and we simply cannot get enough.

Brisbane's Tia Gostelow makes her return this week as well and is here to take down gaslighters one fierce pop banger at a time. 'Psycho' is a glittery, driving new single from Gostelow in which she is at her absolute best. Really hitting her stride, she holds nothing back and as the track builds into a glorious crescendo, it's clear she is onto something seriously brilliant here. Our latest taste of her forthcoming second record, 'Psycho' is another smash from Tia Gostelow.
