Aspiring DJ Competition 'Your Shot' Has Returned For 2023

Your Shot, the world's biggest aspiring DJ competition is back and better than ever, with an exciting new lineup of events across Australia and New Zealand. 

This year's competition promises to be the ultimate platform for aspiring DJs, offering them the opportunity to showcase their skills, learn from the best, and win life-changing international prizes. 

With no experience necessary to enter, there’s no excuse not to give it a shot!

Whether you're an amateur DJ, a bedroom producer or simply someone with a passion for music, Your Shot wants you to take part and give it a red-hot go.

With full DJ training provided, it's the perfect opportunity to develop your skills, network with industry professionals, and kickstart your career in the music industry. 

Regardless of your level of experience, whether you've never touched a DJ deck in your life or you've been practising your DJ skills for years and looking to get your foot in the door, Your Shot will provide you with everything you need to become a world-class DJ. 

This year, Your Shot is touring six cities across Australia and New Zealand, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and (for the first time) Adelaide and Auckland. 

Each event will offer participants a chance to showcase their skills in front of a live audience supported by some of the best national and international DJ talent. 

The showcase will also be host to industry pros, promoters, bookers and artist managers to help uncover emerging DJ talent, with over 61% of finalists going on to secure regular DJ gigs and residencies across the country. 

But that's not all, Your Shot also offers life-changing international prizes to the winners of the competition. 

The winner of the epic competition will then pack their bags and fly across the globe to perform at one of the world’s biggest music festivals. 

They’ve announced their phase 1 prize destinations which include: 

Hideout (Croatia), Snowbombing (Austria), The BPM Festival (Costa Rica/ Canada), Snow Machine (New Zealand), The Yacht Week (Croatia), Unleashed (Fiji), 1015 Folsom SF (America), Dream Machine (Bali) and Chasing Summer (Canada).
