Earlier this year, Teenage Crime Club launched to bring Sydney (Eora) its biggest and most exciting celebration of UK garage, indie and dance tunes from the 2000s to today. It’s the only club night of its kind, and now the team have announced its return for this month!

The latest installation of Teenage Crime will go down on Friday May 24 at Tokyo Sing Song in Newtown, kicking off at 9pm and running into the early hours of the morning. It’ll be headlined by Karmel Jäger, with a press release noting that she “uses her classical background to weave high-energy sets filled with all things broken beat” – expect plenty of garage classics and only the filthiest basslines.

Joining her on the bill will be some of the best DJs on the circuit: Sensei Yap, Chops, Discopoly and Wilko will all take to the decks individually before midnight, then after Jäger leaves the stage at 1:30, the latter three will return to spin even more high-octane bangers.

The event is promised to deliver “a night of pure euphoria”, with Teenage Crime describing it as “a night where the past meets the future, and every moment is a chance to dance like nobody’s watching”. Tickets are on sale now – head here to grab yours.

As for what kind of tunes you can expect the resident DJs to platform, they’ve cited a suite of classic acts that regularly fill their playlists: Arctic Monkeys, Adrian Lux, Bloc Party, Bicep, Daft Punk, Disclosure, Flight Facilities, Fred Again, Justice, Joy Anonymous, MGMT, and Mild Minds – to name just a select few.
