Tasman Keith Taps Australian Music Legend Jessica Mauboy For New Single, 'HEAVEN WITH U'

Tasman Keith and Jessica Mauboy have combined for their new single HEAVEN WITH U, which features on Keith's highly anticipated forthcoming debut record, A COLOUR UNDONE, which is set for release on the 8th of July.

HEAVEN WITH U joins an array ofsingles that will feature on the record, from collaborative efforts CHEQUE with Genesis Owusu and IDK featuring Phil Fresh, to the solo rap cut 5FFT FREESTYLE, and pop influenced LOVE TOO SOON. All the singles have pointed in one direction for the record, one that is sonically diverse, thematically potent and musically glowing.

The latest single sees Keith combing with Mauboy for the second time, having already collaborated on the ARIA and APRA Award nominated released First Nation, alongside legacy Australian act Midnight Oil. This time, they enter a soulful, ballad-esque-world, one where the production matches the gorgeous sentiment of the track. Keith reflects on finding bliss and enlightenment in himself and how that reflects on the people around him. He lets go of internal struggle and sees the peace and power within his mind and projects that onto his circle. Whether a friend or love HEAVEN WITH U will take you and a special person to an equally special place.

In Mauboy's words, "Tasman is evolutionary when it comes to how we see and feel about Australian music. He is an incredibly talented artist and creator and I’m so proud to be able work with him."

Keith also talks extremely highly of Mauboy, stating, "As soon as I had the song, I knew the one thing it needed was something only Jess could provide. Having a friendship with somebody who has been at the forefront of Australian Pop is one thing but having a shared respect and understanding for each other through our heritage is another, and then to have that same person on a record is something beyond.

"The studio session was one of the most wholesome sessions I’ve ever had, and I know it's a record in which she is super connected due to her own journey. So to be able to provide her with that is an honour.”
