Sydney Gets New, Bizarro Hosted Electronic & Arts Festival On Cockatoo Island

18 May 2022 | 3:17 pm | Staff Writer

The line up and all festival info is slowly rolling out over the next three weeks.

Well established Australian club promoters Bizarro yesterday announced a brand new music and arts festival, Mode Festival in an attempt to explore the potential of electronic music and artistry.

It will be hosted on the 15th of October within the monolothic surrounds of Wareamah, in Cockatoo Island's warehouse precinct in the heart of Warrang/Sydney.

Set on a grand industrial estate, the festival will present electronic music on a scale rarely seen on so called Australian soil, with massive production, including a huge audio build that is tailer made for the venue as well as elite visual art.

The stages oof the festival will be surrounded by sandstone walls and long unused machinery, setting a brutalist backdrop for distinct performances.

The festival aims to amplify marginalised cultures through exchanging creative expression, from local heroes and tastemakers to global contemporaries.

The teaser video online features music from Maara, and might prove for an early line up hint.
