Dreamt Of Speaking At SXSW Sydney? Here's Your Chance

Conference and festival South By Southwest (SXSW) Sydney has announced an open invitation to the SWSW community to participate in its 2023 event via a session proposal platform.

The platform is called Session Select, and will allow creative professionals, experts and inspired thinkers from around the world to collaborate with SXSW Sydney to identify the most innovative new ideas to champion at the core of its 2023 conference programming.

These panels can include thought provoking panels surrounding Climate Change, the Metaverse, mind-bending technologies, groundbreaking research and more, giving a voice to the full spectrum of the Asia-Pacific region's creative communities.

Fenella Kernebone, Head of Conference Programming at SXSW Sydney, says on Session Select, “With SXSW Sydney Session Select, we are looking for brilliant ideas and speakers with the most relevant, timely, forward-thinking and future-focused ideas to share. 

"This is a unique opportunity to showcase your creativity and to critically engage with audiences in your industry and beyond. We cannot wait to hear from the SXSW Sydney community.”

Colin Daniels, Managing Director of SXSW Sydney stated that, “Sydney’s diversity makes it the perfect incubator for creativity and we’re lucky that so many artists, creative thinkers and innovative businesses call it home.

The submissions for a solo presentation, panel, workshop or meet-up via Session Select close on February the 14th, 2023 and 11:59PM AEDT.

Alongside the announcement, the festival has revealed that they have announced partnerships with two future-focused organisations unveiling Sydney based university UTS as the event's education partner and independent brewers Young Henrys as SXSW Sydney MusicFestival'sl major sponsor.
