More Lizzo More Lizzo

Splendour In The Grass has announced its national ticket hunt for this year’s festival. As Lizzo is the only artist announced so far, and we all know about her abilities as a renowned flautist, it makes sense to have an 18+ ticket hunt to find flutes throughout the country.

Just eight flutes will be hidden in the following locations: Bondi, Byron Bay, Mermaid Beach, Fortitude Valley, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Hobart CBD.

From today until Friday, a clue for each location will be shared on the Splendour In The Grass Instagram account.

Seven flutes will include a runner-up prize of a double pass to the festival, while just one contains the Golden Package.

The Golden Package consists of two 18+ gold bar passes; two guest camping passes, and two return flights. Airport transfers and a food, drink and merchandise voucher with the value of $500 are attached to the flights and bar passes. The package also comes with a Meet & Greet, front-of-house viewing for amphitheatre bands, and a backstage pass.

The fastest flute winner wins.

The flute hunt arrives on the heels of Lizzo announcing additional Splendour sideshow dates in Sydney and Melbourne.

These new shows are confirmed for Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday, 18 July, and Qudos Bank Arena on Monday, 24 July.

The tour commences at Perth’s RAC Arena on July 14, followed by Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne on July 17 and 18, and concluding at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on July 23 and 24. The Live Nation pre-sale ends today at 11 am when the General Sale begins; all times are local. Find your tickets here.

Tkay Maidza will join the US music sensation at all the shows.

A fortnight ago, Splendour In The Grass arrived with massive news: this year’s event already has its first headliner in Lizzo.

With the full line-up announcement to arrive in a few weeks, this Special announcement will surely tide concertgoers over in the meantime.

Lizzo will be making her Splendour In The Grass debut with a headline slot, which is pretty impressive - not many artists these days could achieve that feat. Lizzo is the first black solo female R&B singer to claim the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 since 2012, and Truth Hurts became the longest-running #1 by a solo female rap artist ever.
