Disco Loco, one of Australia’s favourite silent disco experiences, is heading to Sydney this weekend for dates that run until 6 July.

Interested punters will wear state-of-the-art headphones as they make their way through Sydney streets, enjoying current-day hits as well as all-time classics. Disco Loco’s silent disco will bring its most popular programs to Sydney, including the Craziest Silent Disco Tour, the Michael Jackson Themed Tour, and the VIVID Sydney Night Tour.

Tickets for Disco Loco’s Sydney run are on sale now. The events take place from 18 May – 6 July 2024, with times ranging from 10 am to 10:30 pm.

The Craziest Silent Disco Tour begins at Customs House on 31 Alfred Street, Sydney, while the Michael Jackson Themed Tour and VIVID Sydney Night Tour kick off celebrations at the Chinese Garden of Friendship, Pier Street, Darling Harbour.

“This isn’t your average tour; our tours are designed to delight everyone, from youngsters to the young at heart, making every moment with us an unforgettable experience, leaving you in laughter and singing at the top of your lungs.”

In September 2023, Purple Sneakers’ Ray Shindo attended Sweet Relief! Festival in Brisbane and remarked on the festival’s incorporation of accessibility for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

“Concert sign language interpreters are becoming a common sight these days, and this festival is no exception,” Shindo wrote. “Auslan interpreters also grace the stage, artistically communicating the sounds and atmosphere through signing and dance. Sweet Relief! exceeds expectation by also offering a silent disco section, featuring vests which enable the hearing-impaired to directly feel the beat on their body.”
