Police have released a statement following an attack on rapper 6ix9ine - real name Daniel Hernandez -  in an LA Fitness bathroom on Tuesday which saw him hospitalised for his injuries.

Shocking video of the attack made the rounds on social media earlier this week, where several men were seen kicking and punching the ‘FEFE’ hitmaker as he cowered on the ground, leaving him bloodied and bruised.

6ix9ine’s lawyer revealed that the rainbow-haired rapper was inside the sauna when he was randomly jumped by the group of men, who caused injuries to his jaw, ribs and back.

On Wednesday, police reached out via social media in the hopes of finding the perpetrators.

"Last night, our deputies responded to an incident at LA Fitness (8000 Block of Lantana Rd) in Lake Worth," the press release read.

"An altercation occurred between several individuals, leaving [6ix9ine] Daniel Hernandez injured. Hernandez was transported to a local hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries."

“If you have any information, please contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS or stay anonymous by downloading the PBSO app for Apple or Android,” they added.

It’s the latest in a string of run-ins for Hernandez, who was booted from a Miami baseball stadium Friday after getting drunk and disturbing other fans.

In a video obtained by one Twitter user, 6ix9ine is seen blocking fans’ views while waving a Mexican flag during the Mexico vs. Puerto Rico match. He was later seen being escorted out of the stadium.
