A Sydney house party in Surry Hills was shut down after a noise complaint first emerged at 8:30pm.

The police raided the property on Foveaux Street after receiving a noise complaint. After the raid, images and footage emerged of the NSW Police Raptor Squad bursting through the premises, allegedly breaking beds, TVs and seizing audio equipment.

Party goers posted on their Instagram stories slamming the police alleging they, "Broke and raided all the beds to seize AUDIO EQUIPMENT. Granted a warrant to seize anything that makes noise for a party that ended at 11:30pm!!, these losers have nothing better to do."

"Flipped beds and broke TVs, left with five speakers that weren't being used at the party!"

One party go-er also wrote, “Raptor squad called for the most relaxed party."

Another image emerged of the Police smiling outside the premises with an attendee alleging they were, "Laughing, high fiving after kicking/punching people, breaking someone's ribs, breaking people's teeth and pepper spraying everyone."

Footage also emerged of Police allegedly pushing and kicking two men on their way out of the party.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, one attendee attempted to tell the full story stating, "At 9.30pm the cops came and told us to turn the music off as they’ve had noise complaints. We told them we knew we are legally allowed to have music on until 12[am], so we kept the party inside the property and turned the music off at exactly 11:50pm."

"At 12.15ish the cops kicked the door in … they continued to stay in the house for almost an hour.”

Two 21 year olds were arrested and charged with assaulting and hindering police.

On Reddit one user alleged, "A 20min movie was shown in the backyard around 8:30pm Saturday night. Around 40 people in the backyard to watch. From 9-10:15pm when the cops first arrived music was played. All neighbours were warned of said party and a lot of them were there.

"At 10:15pm the cops said to turn the music down, when they were told no and that we would shut it off at 12am which is within our right. The cops said they would be back with a warrant. The music was turned off at 11:55pm and at 12:15am the cops kicked in the front door and proceeded to assault multiple people.

"Riot shield chipped the front teeth of a girl, the guy in the video getting kicked copped a broken rib. People were pepper sprayed. The party was contained inside the backyard and no one instigated any conflict with cops prior to this."

In the City Of Sydney, noise coming from Musical instruments, radios, sound systems and public address Systems have restrictions between 10pm and 7am on Sunday and Thursday and 12PM to 8am on Friday, Saturdays and any day immediately before a public holiday.
