It's with heavy hearts and a flurry of nostalgic memories that we report the closure of Picnic Stuff, the iconic Sydney-based party that has been a staple of the city's nightlife for a staggering 15 years.

Over the years, Picnic Stuff has been the ultimate playground for music enthusiasts, hosting countless epic events that have left revellers begging for more.

Picnic Stuff has pushed the boundaries of partying, creating an unrivalled experience that has captured the hearts and souls of partygoers across Sydney, with the event seeing epic headline sets by Andrew Weatherall, Moodymann, and more.

The party also saw DJ Harvey, Peggy Gou, Jayda G and others make their Australian debut as well as them takeover the Sydney Opera House with Robert Hood, Moritz von Oswald and Yaeji.

But like all good things, Picnic Stuff's incredible journey is coming to an end. After 15 years of unparalleled partying, the team behind this beloved institution has made the tough decision to close its doors. “With a heavy heart, but a positive outlook, today I announce the final curtain call(s), but I do so without saying goodbye and good riddance, as if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that I do have more to give," a statement from event organisers read.

Punters will have one last chance to attend the iconic event as they celebrate 15 years at the Sydney Opera House on May 26 with Levon Vincent, Barney Kato b2b Reenie and a set from organiser Carly (Kali).

As we bid adieu to Picnic Stuff, we can't help but reminisce on the countless memories that have been etched into the hearts of Sydney's music community.

The eclectic lineups that brought together diverse sounds and genres, the infectious energy that pulsed through the dancefloor, and the sense of belonging that made Picnic Stuff more than just a party.
