Fans were left reeling when Olivia Rodrigo cancelled her plans to head Down Under due to “unforeseen circumstances” this week.

The vampire hitmaker was set to touch down in Sydney for a run of interviews, as well as an exclusive fan Q&A on Friday 22nd September in celebration of the release of her second album which dropped on September 8th.

Prior to its cancellation, Olivia had expressed her excitement about her press trip to Sydney, saying, "I can't wait to get down to Australia. I've never been, and I'm so excited to meet everyone. I'll see you soon, Livies!"

However, a spokesperson from Universal Music Australia announced on Tuesday (Sep. 19) that the visit would no longer be going ahead, saying, "Olivia is devastated that she won't be able to make it, however, she's so excited to see her Australian Livies (fans) in 2024.”

Wait - 2024? So does this mean the chart-topper could be set to tour here in 2024 as part of her recently announced GUTS World Tour?

It seems likely, considering the colossal global tour already includes third and fourth shows in New York, London, and Los Angeles, as well as second shows in Chicago, Montreal, Dublin, Amsterdam, Paris, San Francisco, and more, bringing the tour to 75 dates — but until Olivia confirms herself, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Either way, the tour is set to be certifiably epic, with acts like The Breeders, PinkPantheress, Chappell Roan, and Remi Wolf supporting Olivia on tour.

Rodrigo has truly been spreading her Guts tracks all over the chart this week, as her second studio album debuted at #1 on the Albums Chart, and all twelve songs from the album landed within the Top 40 this week, four of them within the Top 10, surpassing her June 2021 tally of ten tracks from her SOUR set within the Top 50.

Her new album's lead single vampire climbed back up five places to land at #2 (HP-1), while her second entry bad idea right? scoring a new peak by leaping up twenty-one spots to land at #3, surpassing the #10 position it achieved upon entry five weeks ago (August 21st).

And like Olivia's first album scoring four Top 10 entries, this new set can now claim it's third and fourth Top 10 placements, as she debuted with two tracks from her Guts set at #6 with get him back! (the only other song from the album with a video clip at the moment) and all-american bitch at #10.

The singer also landed three Top 10 entries in both England and Ireland, while she ups it to five within the New Zealand Top 10 this week, she also performed several of her album songs at the MTV VMA's this past week and won an award for vampire (Best Editing).
