FBi Radio announces 2019 SMAC Awards Nominees

Honouring the best and brightest in Sydney's music, arts and culture over the last twelve months, FBi Radio's SMAC awards are back!

Sydney's much loved FBi Radio has announced today their 2019 nominees for their Sydney Music, Arts and Culture awards. Recognising the most exciting and interesting talent making its mark on Sydney in the last year, the awards are now in its twelfth year and have previously honoured the likes of Sampa The GreatCloud Control, Sarah Blasko, Rainbow Chan, Sally Rugg, Angela Goh and so many more.

Over nine categories, FBi Radio will honour Sydney's best and brightest musicians, artists, performers, restaurants and events, as well as the prestigious SMAC of the Year award, which will be presented to a person who has made a singular contribution to Sydney’s cultural vitality this past year.

Across categories such as Song of the Year, Best Artist and "Next Big Thing" artists including Julia Jacklinimbi the girlShady NastyA.GIRLONEFOUR and many more have all received nods, while events like Soft Centre and Sissy Ball are up for Best Music Event. Best Artist includes nominations of Amrita Hepi and Kieran Bryant, and Best Eats includes a stack of some of Sydney's favourite restaurants including the only Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant Nikkei.

Voting for the awards is open to the public now, and remains open until 5pm AEDT Friday, January 31st. The invite-only award ceremony will be held at Carriageworks and broadcast live on FBi Radio 94.5FM on Tuesday, February 11. Vote now here.
