Heaps Gay, Off The Rails + Throttle Roll Join Forces For Marrickville Block Weekender Festival

his October long weekend, the inner west of Sydney will witness a monumental celebration of live music, queer party vibes, and moto-lifestyle as three iconic brands join forces to present the Marrickville Block Weekender.

Presented by Heaps Normal, this three-day festival promises to be the most unforgettable event the city has ever seen.

Kicking off on Saturday, September 30, the festivities begin with the HEAPS GAY STREET PARTY, where punters will celebrate Heaps Gay's 10th anniversary.

Building on the success of their renowned Roadwerk events, the party will dance day-to-night to the beats of house, pop, and nu-disco music. With a lineup that includes BIG WETT, Billy Davis, Tseba, Stereogamous, Dameeeela, MungMung, and many others, along with drag performances and colorful roaming artists, the event is sure to bring about the vibrant party vibes that have become synonymous with Heaps Gay.

On Sunday, the inaugural Off The Rails festival, presented by Bad Friday takes centre stage, bringing a bold lineup of punk, garage, and hardcore music.

Leading the charge are the ferocious pub rockers Amyl and the Sniffers, along with underground legends The Mark of Cain. The lineup also features other notable acts like Private Function, RVG, Shady Nasty, Dust, Southeast Desert Metal, DOWNGIRL, The Neptune Power Federation, Chimers, Organs, Itchy & The Knits, with more to be announced.

Off The Rails will be hosted at both Marrickville Block Weekender and the Bar On the Hill Forecourt in Newcastle.

The long-awaited return of Throttle Roll concludes the festivities on Monday, bringing a celebration of Australian motorcycling culture.

Beyond showcasing wild motorcycle builds, Throttle Roll has earned a reputation for embracing the lively and creative motorcycle community. With rock and roll music and headline acts like Papa Pilko and the Binrats, and XOLO, this event is set to be a vibrant celebration of custom motorcycles.
