Grammy Award-winning American rapper, singer and songwriter Macklemore is returning to Australia in May 2024, booking dates in huge venues across the country in support of his latest album, BEN.

Beginning his tour in New Zealand, Macklemore will perform at Wellington’s TSB Arena on Wednesday, 8 May, and Auckland’s Spark Arena on Thursday, 9 May. He then heads to Australia for four shows, scheduled to perform at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Saturday, 11 May, Melbourne’s John Cain Arena on Wednesday, 15 May, Brisbane’s Riverstage on Friday, 17 May, and ends the tour at Perth’s HBF Stadium on Monday, 20 May.

In addition to the headline dates – presented by Frontier Touring – Macklemore will also travel to Darwin for the 2024 edition of BASSINTHEGRASS Festival. You can find more information about the festival here.

Before tickets to the general public are sold on Friday, 17 November (from 10 am local time), Australian Telstra Plus members can access pre-sale tickets on Monday, 13 November, followed by a Frontier Members pre-sale on Wednesday, 15 November, from noon local time. You can find tickets on the Frontier Touring website.

Macklemore last toured Australia in 2022 to headline the fifth edition of Fridayz Live alongside the likes of Akon, TLC and Craig David.

In an interview with Macklemore, The Music’s Tyler Jenke commented about his latest album, “While Ben boasts tracks like the Tones & I-featuring Chant, or the DJ Premier joint Heroes, it also offers up Maniac – a track about a toxic relationship whose video takes influence from Outkast’s Hey Ya!, which famously also married upbeat hooks with darker lyrics.”

Jenke added, “Macklemore’s newest release is one of catharsis and honesty, and one earmarked by the satisfaction that despite the clutter that clouds our lives and upends all sense of normality, Ben Haggerty is still telling his truth.”
