Machine Gun Kelly and Mod Sun’s widely panned flick Good Mourning has received its first-ever award - a Razzie.

The pair were roasted online after they received the award for Worst Director at the 2023 Golden Raspberry Awards for their comedy-drama film, which was also nominated for Worst Picture and Worst Screenplay.

MGK was also nominated for Worst Actor for his role in the film as London Clash, an actor whose world is turned upside-down after he receives a breakup text from the love of his life (which was based on a real-life scenario in which the Emo Girl singer believed girlfriend Megan Fox was breaking up with him).

Co-stars Pete Davidson and Mod Sun were also among the nods for Worst Supporting Actor, while MGK and Sun were also nominated for Worst Screen Couple.

It’s unsurprising that the film was nominated among the worst of 2022 after it raked in a measly $21,348 at the box office and currently has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 0 per cent.

It’s just the latest in a string of bad news for the pair, with both their respective relationships - MGK’s with Jennifer’s Body actress Fox and Mod Sun’s with singer Avril Lavigne - recently breaking down.

Fox was spotted walking the red carpet at the Vanity Fair party sans MGK on Monday amid breakup rumours, while Sun confirmed recently via Insta that he and his Love It When You Hate Me fiancee had split.

“In 1 week my entire life completely changed…I just know there’s a plan for it all. I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken [broken heart emoji] Being surrounded by love every night on tour has been an absolute blessing,” Mod penned in February.

“I have the best friends in the entire world, thanks for always having my back. See you on stage.”
