Little Simz has released a surprise new album, NO THANK YOU.

The album follows Simz's most acclaimed year to date off the back of the release of 2021's Sometimes I Might Be Introvert , which catapulted her from cult adored hip hop favourite to the big leagues. Following its release, it crashed into the top 5 of the album charts, collecting Mercury Music Prize, Mobo, Ivor Novello and Brit Award wins and earning her some of her biggest live audiences yet across the world.

Now she turns to NO THANK YOU, a left field turn for Simbiatu Ajikawo. The album is a mere 10 tracks and acts as a sleek, succinct and thought provoking record that reflects on fame, institutions, history and trauma.

The album was recorded with regular collaborator Inflo and sees her at her most free, daring and spontaneous, creating music without the pressure of the traditional album format or roll out.

In her own words, she stated, "emotion is energy in motion. honour your truth and feelings. eradicate fear. boundaries are important."

If there's anyone we can trust to provide an exceptional body of work, it's Little Simz. Before Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, she released her 2019 album, GREY Area. A coming of age tale, the album detailed Simz's navigation of the grey areas in her life. With the project, she tackled a quarter life crisis at 25, and through the disorientation created a body of work that showcased her growth as both a rapper and songwriter.
