Kavi Releases New Single 'SPORTSCAR' + Announces Debut EP

Kavi has today expanded his supersonic world, releasing new single SPORTSCAR alongside the announcement that his debut EP KRUSHED! which will release on the 15th of July.

Inspired by electronic experimental music pioneers from Arca and Charli XCX to Shygirl, Kavi has solidified a sonic universe that is filled with joy juxtaposed by deeply personal lyrics on about the perils of growing up and coming of age. Kavi will fully uncover this world with his forthcoming EP, uncovering stories of love, relationships and the inevitable crumble of overt cynicism. 

Now revealing his third single, SPORTSCAR, features scorching synths, a banging bass line and a repetitive, euphoric dance beat. Kavi delivers an effect fuelled vocal performance, one that reflects on broken-down relationships and failed attempts of giving it one more chance. 

Visually inspired by the eighties classic Back To The Future, Kavi reveals "I wrote ‘SPORTSCAR’ about relationships and friendships that had broken down to a point where I felt that there wasn’t really anything else we could do to fix them.

"At their core, they were relationships that had so much potential to be super beautiful, but in the context of life and growing up and learning how to be an adult, they just couldn’t function in reality.

"‘SPORTSCAR’ is a big “what if?” - an imagining of what could be, if all the external factors were stripped away, leaving two people with all the time and space in the world to make a relationship work."
