More Jungle More Jungle

If you’re one of the many Jungle fans that missed out on tickets to their upcoming headline show in Sydney (Eora), today’s your lucky day: the legendary EDM duo have announced a second show just for y’all.

The new gig will go down on Tuesday May 21 – the night before the show that sold out when the tour first went on sale last August – also taking place at the Hordern Pavilion. Tickets go on sale at 12pm tomorrow (January 19) – make sure to bookmark this link so you don’t miss out... Again.

In addition to their two Sydney shows, Jungle will hit stages in Melbourne (Naarm) and Brisbane (Meanjin), respectively taking over Festival Hall on Friday May 17, and The Music Hall on Sunday May 19. The tour comes in support of their stellar fourth album, Volcano, which also arrived last August on the back of hits like Candle Flame (which featured a jaw-dropping guest spot from Erick The Architect), Dominoes, I’ve Been In Love (featuring Channel Tres) and Back On 74.

Jungle’s last tour Down Under happened just shy of 18 months ago, when the band visited for Splendour In The Grass 2022 (with bonus headliners taking place in Melbourne and Sydney). Before then, we caught them on the For Ever tour in 2019; reviewing the Brisbane stop for The Music, Lauren Baxter wrote that Jungle offered “a well-rehearsed and slick production”, gelling with the crowd to form “a symbiosis of groove”.

Volcano followed up on Jungle’s 2021 album Loving In Stereo. It was accompanied by a 50-minute film that effectively turned the LP into a visual album with a segment for all 14 tracks; it was co-directed by band member Josh Lloyd-Watson and acclaimed filmmaker Charlie Di Placido. Initially shared with the duo’s fan club, the film was released to the public last month.
