JPEGMAFIA And Danny Brown Announce Collab Album + Release New Single

After a year of teasing us with a joint project, JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown have finally dropped their first joint single from their highly-anticipated collaborative album, SCARING THE HOES.

Titled LEAN BEEF PATTY, the explosive track produced by JPEG, pulls no punches in calling out Twitter edge lords - with Peggy kicking off with the scathing lyrics, “First off, fuck Elon Musk. Eight dollars too much, this past expensive”.

He later warns, “Watch your energy, watch what you tweet. You can go from Elon to Ye in a week”.

The pair’s savage callouts don’t stop there, with references to Papa John, Tony Khan, Hulk Hogan, and Kanye West, scattered throughout the hyperpop-leaning track that sees two of rap’s trailblazers come together in full force.

First announced on a recent episode of The Danny Brown Show, LEAN BEEF PATTY is just a taste of what fans can expect from their joint album, which showcases the versatility of both artists as they experiment with unconventional sounds and styles, along with Danny’s trademark quirky flow.

Of its release and their relationship, Peggy revealed “The way that people think that I’m weird, is the way that you actually are,” while Danny explained, “he had patience with me and let me rock."

The collab record is a hotly-anticipated arrival for fans of both Danny Brown and JPEGMAFIA, with Peggy’s latest solo release being 2021’s LP!, while Danny’s last full-length album was  2019’s uknowhatimsayin¿, where Peggy featured on the track Negro Spiritual and produced 3 Tearz.

SCARING THE HOES will also feature a sole guest appearance from rising Maryland rapper, redveil.

According to Peggy, SCARING THE HOES is set to drop March 24.
