Hobo Johnson Announces Australian Tour Dates For His 'Won't Do A Shoey' Tour

Hobo Johnson has announced he'll be kicking off headline shows around the country this October for his Won't Do A Shoey tour.

Sacramento, CA, rapper Hobo Johnson has announced he'll be kicking off headline shows around the country this October around his upcoming appearance at Yours & Owls Festival 2023.

Following on from his sold-out 2020 tour, Johnson, a.k.a. Frank Lopes Jr, is set to serve up a slice of his alternative hip-hop artistry in a string of shows in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, and Adelaide, where fans are will witness Johnson's signature blend of spoken-word poetry and rap to venues around the country.

Johnson's nationwide tour will kick off at Brisbane's Princess Theatre on October 11th, before heading to Sydney's The Metro on Thursday 12th October, while Melbourne haunt The Croxton will see Hobo Johnson perform on Tuesday 17th October, before heading to the final show at Fat Controller, Adelaide, on October 18.

Johnson is also set to join the massive line-up for Yours & Owls festival, joining international names like Descendents, Earl Sweatshirt, Hobo Johnson, Lil Tjay, Masego, Oliver Tree, as well as Aussie acts Chet Faker, Golden Features, Hilltop Hoods, Meg Mac, Ocean Alley, Safia and Vera Blue.

His debut album The Rise of Hobo Johnson, features deeply personal tracks written during his time living in a '94 Toyota Corolla. Notably, his hit single, Peach Scone, gained significant traction after his entry into NPR's Tiny Desk sessions, accumulating an impressive 26 million streams to date.
