Good Wayz Is Taking Over The Fortitude Valley For Four Weeks Of Live First Nations Music

13 April 2022 | 10:00 am | Staff Writer

"In an industry where everyone talks about being inclusive, the Indigenous music sector just does the work, each and every day.”

Digi Youth Arts are bursting into the Fortitude Valley for a four week program and celebration of First Nations music, featuring some of the best young artists locally and interstate.

GOOD WAYZ will take place at La La Land in Brisbane/Meanjin every Thursday night from the 12th of May until the 2nd of June, boasting a line-up of three artists each night.

Artistic director of Digi Youth Arts, Alethea Beetson stated, “GOOD WAYZ is a sovereign space that celebrates this continent’s emerging young Indigenous musicians. In an industry where everyone talks about being inclusive, the Indigenous music sector just does the work, each and every day.”

The show series continues the incredible work of Digi Youth Arts to follow in the footsteps that came before them and also pave the way for future generations.

The organisation answers the call for more sovereign and First Nations run spaces in the music sector, by amplifying the voices and perspectives of artists and share insights and ideas through their music.

Tickets are on sale for each of the four events, as well as a bargain season pass which can get you access to the entire four-week program for $30.
