The track is his first release outside of the world of his revolutionary debut record Smiling With No Teeth.

One of Australia's most acclaimed artists Genesis Owusu has released his newest single, GTFO.

The track is his first release outside of the world of his revolutionary debut record Smiling With No Teeth, which has been lauded as one of Australia's best new albums. The release was followed by an entirely sold out 22 date tour in 2021 alongside his Goon Club, before a sold out national theatre tour with The Black Dog Band (which he recorded the record with) this year.

The applause did not stop locally though, with the record taking him to the United States for his first international tour, before heading to Europe with jam packed dates in London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Berlin, Primavera Sound.

Now, on the cusp of his highly anticipated performance at Splendour In The Grass, Owusu begins a new era of music via a stellar follow-up record, GTFO. A luscious, lullaby like vocal arrangement surrounds the tracks ambience beautifully. As the mystery and cinematic thrilling of the track expands, Owusu's chant like hook explodes singing get the fuck out over a marching downtempo beat.

It's analogue instrumentation was co-written by Genesis alongside Michael DiFrancesco (Touch Sensitive), Jono Ma and OURNESS label founder, Andrew Klippel. The track is also accompanied by a music video by Rhett Wade-Ferrell aka Uncle Friendly and sees Owusu recite the songs poetic open lines before descending into madness, wreaking havoc to the house he is placed in.
