St Kilda muso Georgia ‘G Flip’ Flipo has taken their show to dizzying new heights - literally.

The drummer-turned-singer turned the Blue Mountains into the ultimate stage as they performed 270 metres above the ground with their full drum kit set up on the top of Scenic World’s Skyway cable car.

Against a spectacular backdrop that included the iconic rock formation the Three Sisters, G Flip performed their banger of a new single, The Worst Person Alive, their signature beats and vocals echoing across the breathtaking ravines and valleys below.

“This is the coolest performance I’ve ever done in my life. Drumming 270m above the air in the Blue Mountains is something I never thought I’d do – it was so awesome, I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face!” G Flip said of the epic performance location.

You can check out a video of the stunning performance here.

Destination NSW CEO Steve Cox said this show merged G’s artistic brilliance and the natural wonders of the Blue Mountains and hoped the performance would shine a light on the beauty of the Blue Mountains.

“These are exactly the types of collaborations that help to form NSW’s unique visitor experiences – a picturesque World Heritage-listed site intertwined with one of Australia’s edgiest and top-performing artists; it really doesn’t get much better than that,” Cox said.

“The beautiful Blue Mountains are a must-see destination for anyone travelling to Australia and we couldn’t be more excited to have such a talented artist like G Flip put NSW on the global stage, showcasing the unique experiences that will entice even more visitors to come and explore Sydney and NSW for themselves.”

The unique show comes ahead of the release of G’s new album, DRUMMER, which drops on Friday, August 11.

The Aussie talent is also set to kick off their biggest-ever headline tour on home soil, hitting some of the most prestigious venues in the country this August.

They’ll kick the Drummer tour off in Meanjin/Brisbane on Friday, August 18, taking over The Tivoli with local legend Hope D.

The queer icons will keep the party rolling in Gimuy/Cairns the night after (August 19), and then head to Boorloo/Perth exactly a week after that (August 26). Before then, however – on Friday, August 25 – Flipo will play the Hindley Street Music Hall in Kaurna/Adelaide alongside Jacoténe.

That dynamic duo will reunite in Wadawurrung/Torquay on Thursday, August 31, before hitting up the legendary Forum in Naarm/Melbourne that Saturday (September 2).

Finally, Flip will wrap their itinerary up with Charley in NSW, first at Eora/Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Friday, September 8, then at the Bar On The Hill in Awakabal/Newcastle the following night (September 9).
