OPEN HOUSE is the newest music night to fill the streets of Brisbane, creating a safe space for everyone to listen to some damn fine music.
Brisbane has a fair few great music nights for its residents to look forward to now. With Brisbabes absolutely killing it and bringing together some of the city's finest female musicians, the founder that made it happen (and our editor here at Purple Sneakers), Emma Jones, has teamed up with local radio host on 4ZZZ and digital content extraordinaire Grace Pashley, and the brains behind the soul sounds of INIGO, Erin Fitzsimon, to add another night to the event calendar. Enter OPEN HOUSE.
OPEN HOUSE is the newest music night to fill the streets of Brisbane, creating a safe space for everyone to listen to some damn fine music. With so much conflict currently in the world, OPEN HOUSE is aiming to bring together all music lovers, no matter where you come from or what you identify as:
"Music is, or at least should be, for everyone. But sometimes not everyone feels comfortable, included or even safe in some spaces. However, with more and more events making it explicit that their spaces are inclusive and safe, this is beginning to change.
OPEN HOUSE wants to welcome women, Indigenous Australians, non-binary people and the LGBTQI+ community. Music is for everyone, and we want to put on a big party to celebrate all of us."

Friendships will be headlining the debut OPEN HOUSE show and after only just releasing their debut album, attendees will be treated to a live show that will no doubt highlight the Melbourne duo's work in it's most exciting setting.
Rebel Yell will be performing also and as Rice Is Nice's latest signing, she's destined for big things so it would be good to see a set in a more intimate setting before you're fighting people for tickets to her shows.
See the full line-up over two stages below and gear yourself up for a fun night in Queensland's creative mecca.
