Denzel Curry Announces Australian Headline Show Tour

8 February 2023 | 9:30 am | Parry Tritsiniotis

After a string of festivals, Denzel Curry returns down under to perform headline shows.

Denzel Curry is returning to Australia in April and March, performing three headline shows across Australia alongside his appearances at Groovin The Moo festival.

The tour will kick off in Sydney on Thursday the 27th of April at the Hordern Pavilion, before heading to Melbourne's Festival hall on the 28th of April and The Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on Wednesday the 3rd of May.

Last year, Denzel Curry released one of the most critically acclaimed records of the year, Mely My Eyez See Your Future. It's lead single, Walkin was his most complete song to date, reflecting his distinct ability to be dynamic on any beat.

Describing his latest record Curry stated, “I like traditional hip hop, I like drum and bass, I like trap, I like poetry, so a lot of that is going to be interwoven in this album including jazz and a lot of genres that I came up on as a kid and just being in my parents’ house. This album is made up of everything that I couldn't give you on TA13OO or Imperial because I was going through depression anger issues.”

The record feature a stellar list of artists including T-Pain, Thundercat, Rico Nasty, 6lack, J.I.D, slowthai, Robert Glasper and Kenny Beats.

The album was a follow up to his critically acclaimed Kenny Beats collaborative project Unlocked and followed his 2019 released solo body of work Zuu.
