Light up the grill, my friends, because it seems we now have beef between hip-hop heavyweights A$AP Rocky and Travis Scott.

ICYMI: Both artists performed at Rolling Loud Miami over the weekend, with Scott announcing the release date for his highly-anticipated Utopia album as well as premiering a sneak peek at his new film during his set on Saturday (July 29).

But it was Rocky’s headlining performance on Sunday (July 30), that stole Scott’s thunder after he dropped an unreleased track during his set that seemed to be throwing shade at the SICKO MODE hitmaker.

As captured by The Shade Room, Rocky rapped in the new track, “First you stole my flow / So I stole your bitch / Then you stole my style / I need at least 10 per cent / All due disrespect, I hope you take offence.”

After Rocky posted a clip of the performance to Twitter, fans immediately began speculating that the jabs were indeed aimed at Scott, with many noting he was rumoured to be dating Rocky’s now-girlfriend, Rihanna, back in 2015 (though neither confirmed the romance).

“Travis Scott Vs Asap Rocky is pay-per-view worthy,” one fan tweeted on Sunday, while another refuted, “The only comparison you can make about Travis Scott and A$AP Rocky was their hair being the same, their music is drastically different.”

Others pointed out that it wasn’t the first time the Babushka Boi rapper has seemingly taken a thinly-veiled jab at Scott.

Last May, Flacko appeared on an episode of Drink Champs with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, and spoke out about Travis Scott biting his style.

"You’re hearing it from me, let shorty rock," A$AP Rocky stated. "And let the people decide if he a biter or if he is authentic. I’m not saying everybody should be allowed to just take [from] whoever got going on. I’m not implying that. I feel like that whole situation sound petty."

Some fans, however, speculated that the lyrics very well could be in reference to certified lover boy Drake, who famously dated Rihanna - with whom Rocky has one child, RZA, and another one the way - on and off from 2009 until 2016.

“The response to this ASAP Rocky line surprised me,” one Twitter user mused. “Was definitely a Drake shot. It’s crazy There are now Hip Hop outlets and fans posting that it was about Travis Scott cuz they weren't around for the Take Care era. Hip-hop historians are needed now more than ever.”

Take Care is a track by Drake that featured RiRi (one of several collabs between the pair at the time), during which the rapper famously gushed over the makeup mogul in interviews, calling her his “ultimate fantasy” (as per WIONews).

Neither Travis nor Drake have commented at the time of writing.
