'Home & Hosed' And 'Drive' Expanded In New Triple J Programming Changes

Triple j is gearing up for the new year with some noteworthy programming adjustments. As we bid farewell to 2023, the station is set to welcome 2024 with some major changes.

Starting January 8, Abby & Tyrone will be taking over the airwaves with an extended triple J Drive airing on weekdays from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The duo will be treating listeners to an additional hour from 6 pm to 7 pm immediately following Hack.

In another shift, triple J's Home & Hosed, hosted by Ash McGregor, is expanding its horizon with a new time slot from 7 pm to 9 pm, Monday to Thursday.

McGregor, known for her deep dive into the local music scene, will be back to bring you the latest in Australian music. Tune in for interviews with local artists, highlights of up-and-coming talent, and an on-air gig guide that spotlights artists making waves across the country.

As the station bids farewell to the familiar tones of triple J Good Nights, Latifa Tee, a talented presenter and DJ, is set to continue her journey on the airwaves as she heads to The Nudge every Friday from 10 pm, where she'll be spinning the best new dance and club tracks.

Additionally, Latifa, alongside Shantan Wantan Ichiban, will be your guide to Saturday Night House Party from 6 pm to 9 pm.

The breakfast team of Bryce & Concetta will be back to kickstart your weekdays from 6 am to 9 am, while Lucy Smith returns to Mornings from 9 am to 12 pm. Dave Woodhead extends lunchtime by an extra half hour, now running from 12 pm to 3:30 pm.

Hack makes a comeback from 5:30 pm to 6 pm, ensuring your evenings are filled with the latest news and engaging discussions.

While bidding farewell to industry legends like Richard Kingsmill, who wrapped up an iconic 35-year run in 2023, triple J looks ahead to an intriguing 2024. The station's specialist shows, including soul ctrl, The Racket, Short Fast Loud, and The Hip Hop Show, are all set to make a return in their regular time slots. The programming adjustments come after a tumultuous few weeks at the national broadcaster with the sudden departure of Kingsmill, ABC Head of Music Meagan Loader, Jess Perkins, and Content Manager Natalia Newling.
