We've got some news...

1 September 2020 | 9:14 am | Staff Writer

We're thrilled to unveil a brand new look and direction for Purple Sneakers today! Founded over a decade ago with a rich history of parties, events, and the iconic Purple Sneakers DJs, Purple Sneakers has become a key tastemaker in Australian online music media.

Long-time editor Emma Jones was reinstated in January and has overseen a six month rebuilding plan. The new strategy has seen the site hit all-time traffic highs, and now the new design and branding will complete this phase. Reinvigorating Purple Sneakers' place serving Australia's electronic, club, hip hop and indie scenes for well over a decade, this is a pivotal moment.

“Purple Sneakers means so much in the Australian marketplace and to be able to take something with such a history and be tasked with reimagining it for a new decade is a real privilege,” said Purple Sneakers editor Emma Jones. “The new look and feel brings a much-needed facelift to the brand and the editorial changes that we’ve been making behind the scenes over the last six months have really been resonating with readers.”

“Purple Sneakers is unlike any other media brand in Australia. With a DNA forged in party and club culture, there’s authenticity and connection to audience that goes well beyond being a media outlet and I’m pleased to be in a position to steer it to a new future,” said Jones.
