A new cultural landmark is on the horizon with the launch of Superordinary, an innovative multi-arts space set to transform Northshore Brisbane, Queensland's largest waterfront urban renewal precinct.

The hub is a visionary project that brings together galleries, performance spaces, studios, and markets, all under one expansive 2000 square meter post-industrial roof.

At the helm of this creative venture is Lincoln Savage, a seasoned Creative Director with over a decade of experience in the arts. Savage's ambition goes beyond creating a mere destination; he envisions Superordinary as a communal space that fosters collaboration, inclusivity, and a sense of belonging among all who visit.

"Our core values revolve around offering opportunities to artists and uniting people in a shared purpose," he explains. "Our vision extends beyond merely creating a picturesque destination; instead, we aspire to craft an inclusive space for cross-pollination that feels like home to everyone who steps inside."

The official opening is marked by a celebratory launch party on Saturday, 18th November, signalling the start of what is set to be a vibrant addition to Brisbane's arts scene.

Superordinary is calling on independent artists to apply for studio space, with a range of sizes available and round-the-clock access. Gallery spaces are quickly being snapped up, with bookings already extending into 2024.

The weekly Supermarkets, starting in mid-November, will also offer a lively marketplace atmosphere for vendors of fashion, art, and food, with both one-off and regular bookings available.

The venue is also set to become a new hotspot for live music and performing arts, with a variety of spaces suitable for events of all sizes, from intimate shows to large-scale performances.

In a bid to democratise the arts, Superordinary is dedicated to removing economic barriers for artists, creating an environment that encourages collaboration while redefining Brisbane’s creative identity.
