Bondi Hotspot Curly Lewis Unveils Margarita-Beer Hybrid Ahead Of World Margarita Day

Curly Lewis, the iconic Bondi beachside brewery and bar, is about to shake up your drinking experience just in time for World Margarita Day on February 22nd.

Brace yourselves for the El Tequileno Lagerita – a half-margarita, half-beer hybrid that's set to redefine your beachside sipping game.

Inspired by the fusion of Mexico and Bondi, this innovative beverage combines the best of both worlds, blending Curly Lewis El Gringo Cerveza with the renowned Tommy’s Margarita in collaboration with El Tequileno Tequila.

Co-founder Oliver dos Remedios explains “Mexican-style lagers are having a moment, and the Tommy’s Margarita has become a fan-favourite across bars across the country. Our El Tequileno Lagerita is the love child of the two and the ultimate beer for the lively Bondi crowd.”

The El Tequileno Lagerita will be exclusively available on tap at Curly Lewis, located at 102-106 Campbell Parade, Bondi, starting February 22nd.

The unique concoction arrives alongside exciting changes to the venue experience, including a new Head Chef and menu.

The Curly Lewis Kitchen, now under the culinary expertise of French-born Chef Charly Dupuy, offers a delicious revamped menu that includes kingfish crudo, fresh burrata with chilli oil and dukkah, and tantalising tacos featuring options like cheeseburger, salt & pepper squid, pulled pork, and vegan wild mushrooms.

As well as this, the venue is now hosting live music every Thursday and Sunday under its newly approved live music license, providing the perfect soundtrack for those balmy Bondi evenings.

And if that's not enough to lure you in, Curly Lewis is launching Taco Nights every Thursday from 4 pm, serving up two tacos for just $10, along with $15 Margys. Choose from an array of options, including cheeseburger tacos, salt & pepper squid tacos, pulled pork tacos, and vegan wild mushroom tacos to pair with your Lagerita.
