12 July 2023 | 3:06 pm | Jessie Lynch

From Avicii's ‘Wake Me Up’ to Eminem's 'Real Slim Shady', here are just some of the unhinged Simpsons AI music covers we’ve discovered among the cesspool that is the internet.

The Simpsons

The Simpsons (Fox)

Hold onto your Duff beers, friends, because we're about to dive headfirst into the wacky world of AI Simpsons music creations.

It’s no secret that over the past few years, there's been a radical rise in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to craft mind-bending tunes that tickle (and or traumatise) our eardrums in ways we never thought possible.

With its ability to generate music in a seemingly limitless range of styles and genres, AI has opened up a world of possibilities for musicians and is reshaping the music industry, leading to an exciting era of innovation and unexpected collaborations.

Of course, it wasn’t long before AI music merged with the world of pop culture - and now, many social media users have gone hog wild with this AI wizardry to channel it into something truly worthy - ridiculous cover songs using our favourite Springfield residents, The Simpsons.

From the hilarious to straight-up unhinged, here are just some of our favourite Simpsons AI music covers we’ve discovered in the cesspool that is the internet. Enjoy!

‘Bangarang’ by Skrillex (Homer Simpson)

Replying to @Pryon Homer - Bangarang (skrillex cover) aicover #aicover #skrillex #simpsons #homerai

I don’t know what kind of cursed cover this is, but I’ll be damned if that drop doesn’t get me keen to cut shapes on the DF.

‘Hurt’ by Johnny Cash (Homer Simpson)

I have no idea what would possess someone would merge one of the world’s most (best) depressing songs with the voice of Homer Simpson, but for some reason it actually kind of works and I don’t hate it.

‘Chop Suey’ by System Of A Down (Homer Simpson)

The song choice! The scenes! The nostalgia of playing Guitar Hero 3! It’s simply chef’s kiss.

‘Freak On A Leash’ by Korn (Homer Simpson)

This is such a comically bad cover I could absolutely see it being a plotline of the show. For some truly unhinged content, fast-forward to 19 seconds when the scatting begins. You’re welcome.

‘Straight Outta Compton’ by NWA (Homer ft. Bart Simpson)

Replying to @Vincents.Paradise Homer - Straight Outta Compton (ft.Bart) #bart #homerrapping #homer #nwa #simpsons

♬ original sound - MEME MUSIC

While Homer’s vocals lack the finesse of OG Ice Cube, Bart holds the track with a decent rap flow not too dissimilar to that of late NWA member Eazy-E.

‘Let It Go’ by Idina Menzel (Lisa Simpson)

Look, the cover isn’t actually too bad, but as someone who isn’t a fan of the obnoxiously overplayed Frozen track, I couldn’t get halfway through until I noped the fuck out so I don’t have to deal with it getting stuck in my head for the next four months again.

‘Wake Me Up’ by Avicii (Homer Simpson)

This literally sounds like the drunk dude in the corner of your local pub who comes in by himself every Thursday just so he can belt this out on karaoke night.

‘Love The Way You Lie’ by Eminem ft. Rihanna (Homer ft. Marge Simpson)

Marge’s singing voice makes me want to stick chopsticks in my eardrum, but I’ll admit Homer does throw down some straight-up fire bars in the track.

‘Started From The Bottom’ by Drake (Bart Simpson)

This reminds me of that one young cousin that wants to show you his rapping skills which are really crap but you have to smile and tell them they’re going to be the next Eminem anyway.

‘Ace Of Spades’ by Motörhead (Marge Simpson)

Who would have thought that Marge’s gravelly vocals would ever in a million years serve as a tribute to the late and great Motörhead rocker Lemmy Kilmister? He’s either rolling in his grave or having a good lol over this one.

‘The Real Slim Shady’ by Eminem (Homer Simpson)

Two words: STRAIGHT. FIRE.
